Introducing a report of safety star rating for cars which is NCAP. NCAP means New Car Assessment Program. Here we are giving a piece of small information about NCAPs safety standards used in India that are manufactured for Indian road rules and regulations.

➤ In 2017 BNVSAP is proposed for Indian safety standards to the new brand cars. before that GNCAP is used. Now also it is used and they are publishing a chart that best star rating to lowest star rating using their standard features. GNCAP ensure #safer cars for India.
➤ GNCAP is the best safety tag given to the car comparing to the BNVSAP front offset impact test. because the front offset is conducted at 56kmph for BNVSAP. For GNCAP it is 64.3kmph.(which standard to all NCAPs).
but the safety features checking like ABS, safety belt reminder, child lock, electronic stability, etc are the same for both tests.
Nearly we have seen a post that TATA Nexon got 5 stars in global NCAP crash test so that we can say which is the safest Indian car according to GNCAP standards.

➤Seat belt reminders become standard for Indian cars.

➤Rear impact tests will be required by 2017 for BNVSAP.

* Now NHTSA is the standard followed by the US safety standards, carry out the frontal crash test at 64.3kmph(40mph) under BNCAP is similar to EuroNCAP vehicles. Will be crash-tested at 64kmph for frontal impacts which is the average speed in India.
